What a crazy week it has been!!!
Over the weekend I got a call if I could design a logo for the Farm Trail my parents are a part of along with a few other local farms. The idea is for local farms to join together, promote one another in the community to create awareness of local agriculture and encourage people to buy from their local farmer. By buying direct from the farm you can actually see your food in the ground or in my parents’ case in the hydroponic system. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday morning in your community with your family or friends and get some healthy farm fresh fair at the same time. Between the different farms they offer every thing from fresh veggies to milk and meats.
The trail is called Route 52 and for their logo they wanted something reminiscent of the Route 66 signs and to include their slogan “Get Real Food”. Here are the final designs I came up with:
They also needed a map and I figure if you are going to make a map it should at least be cute.
They needed everything by this weekend because the trail opens June 2, so I’ve been working feverishly to get it all done. Thankfully I finished yesterday afternoon, I was cross-eyed from staring at the computer for days but I made the deadline. This was a fun project I hope to have more like it in the future.
If you are in the area of Dothan, Alabama you should head out next Saturday.
